At Langley Manor we count as important the relationship we have with parents. We build bridges between home and school and see learning as an on-going process, not confined to the school building. We encourage all facets of a child's development, creating a fine balance between freedom and discipline, creativity and control.
We encourage our children to have a caring attitude towards each other, having regard to others and appreciating that there are many less fortunate than themselves. Lastly, we aim to provide materials and challenges which will encourage excitement and a motivation for learning and develop the skill of self-disciplined studying.
The school has an excellent musical tradition encouraging all children over the age of 7 to play a musical instrument. The school has an indoor heated swimming pool and trains children to a very high standard for competitive swimming.
The Langley Manor School has recently been awarded the Thames Valley Silver Business of the Year Award for Training 1995 and an award from the Government to install CCTV.
